Healthy Eating - introducing a healthy diet as early as possible will reap untold benefits in later life. Your child doesn't need additives, sugar, caffeine or e-numbers. Giving your child a diet full of all the wrong things can lead to childhood obesity, allergies and hyperactivity - giving your child a diet full of the good things can lead to happy kids.
OK that's a tad too simplistic but do think ahead when deciding what to feed your child.
Many children have adverse effects to e-numbers, additives, fizzy drinks, sugar, sweets and crisps - and it doesn't just make them hyper active and full of beans - but it does alter their personality - they become stubborn, wilful and argumentative - horrible kids - horrible teenagers - horrible adults - it's a tricky cycle to break.
Without these they revert back to their sunny, pleasant, cheeky personalities - they won't be angels all the time, but it's a lot easier to deal with an occasional bad mood or tantrum.
Think about how much food they eat - they certainly won't thank you if they become vastly overweight and the butt of their classmates jokes when they reach adolescence.

Starting school - Can be one of the most stressful times for both parent and child. Some children may take to it straight away and love going to school, meeting new friends and learning. For others it could be the worst time of their lives and you as the parent may have to endure taking your child to school and leave them sobbing their little hearts out or clinging to you for dear life.
